Devotion: The Power of Surrender

Have you ever had a moment where everything seemed hopeless and you felt like you had tried everything, but nothing worked? I know, I have. It’s in those moments where we feel completely powerless that we often turn to something bigger than ourselves – something spiritual.

My connection with Devotion

For me, that moment came when I was struggling with a problem that had been plaguing me for days. I had tried every solution I could think of, but nothing worked. It was an emotional drain, and I was at my wit’s end.

In that moment of desperation, I decided to turn to prayer. I didn’t pray for God to prove his existence or for some grand miracle to happen – I simply asked for help with child-like innocence. I prayed with deep love and yearned for a solution. And then, I let it go and went about my day.

It was only a few minutes later that I received a message that was the answer to my prayer. I was overwhelmed with emotion. I was filled with gratitude and a deep sense of awe. As I prayed with deep love and yearning, I felt a sense of peace and protection envelop me.

This experience taught me the power of prayer and the importance of having faith. It’s easy to pray and still worry about the outcome, but that doesn’t truly demonstrate faith. When we have faith, we trust that everything will work out in the end – even if we don’t know how or when.

As my philosophy teacher once said, “You don’t pray with faith. If you did, then you wouldn’t worry even after having said your prayer.”

That is devotion. When you are devoted, you do not worry about a situation or doubt the intention. When you are devoted, you know the power of devotion is far greater than worries.

Devotion is necessary for things to manifest. Be it your devotion to your work, studies, or a good cause. Only a devoted heart and soul can bring things to fructification.

So, if you’re ever feeling powerless or hopeless, putting your thoughts and desires out into the universe can be incredibly powerful. And who knows? Maybe you’ll find that the answers you were looking for were there all along – just waiting for you to ask.
